Welcome to the Tumblr for the upcoming indie game, Axle! Here you'll not only find updates from the game's production, but visual and musical inspirations, like steampunk, dieselpunk, indie games, electro swing, and much more!
Axle is a gear built to fix clockwork toys, but his dreams of adventure come true when he is swept up in a journey that will land him right in the middle of machines bigger and badder than he could ever imagine. With unique rolling and magnetizing game mechanics, and a rich steampunk world, Axle is sure to be a platformer game you can't put down!
How the Geneva Drive (the mechanical step that makes the second hand on a clock work by turning constant rotation into intermittent motion) works.
As an engineer, this makes me happy.
If only one loop of this gif were equal to one second…
watching this while listening to a clock ticking
is the best decision i have ever made
Beautiful background art for the game, Bioshock Infinite, a game that has served as an inspiration to the team!
Check out these awesome indie games from the Pax East Indie Showcase! They all look so awesome!
I returned home to Dinwiddie County, Va from DC and I knew I wanted to come directly to the river to be alone prior to sitting down to eat Thanksgiving dinner with my family. I didn’t know If I would get a chance to take pictures at the river, considering my future plans. I had a lot of fun here when I was much younger (18-20). I was in a complete different mindset then. I had no direction. I needed to come to this place to remind me of why I am where I am. I wanted to convey a sense of loneliness. I love living in the city and being around people, but I really needed some time to reflect on the past. I think that harder times may be ahead. I’m ready to do what I have to do. I’m ready to be alone if I have to. Sometimes I’m uncertain about the future, but I can’t focus on that. I have to focus on what I can control, and enjoy the now. I have to protect my dreams and know I can do what I say I’m going to do.
